1. Scope
This policy applies to all high-value signed memorabilia items sold by Signed Stuff UK, including framed pieces with authentication certificates or photographic proof.
High-value items are defined as items with a retail price of £500 or above, unless otherwise stated.
This policy complements our Terms & Conditions and Returns Policy.
2. Packaging & Handling
All high-value items are professionally packaged to ensure protection during transit.
Items are shipped in rigid, reinforced boxes with protective padding around frames and certificates.
Fragile labels are applied, but collectors are reminded that careful handling during shipping is essential.
3. Shipping Methods & Insurance
High-value items are shipped via tracked and insured courier services.
Shipping costs for high-value items include insurance covering loss or damage during transit up to the full purchase price.
Customers must provide a delivery address where the item can be safely received; signature on delivery is required.
For remote or high-risk areas, additional shipping charges may apply.
4. Risk & Responsibility
Risk passes to the buyer upon delivery (when the courier confirms receipt).
Signed Stuff UK is not liable for:
* Damage caused after delivery
* Loss due to incorrect delivery address provided by the buyer
* Delays caused by courier or external factors beyond our control
If a high-value item is damaged in transit, the buyer must notify Signed Stuff UK and the courier immediately.
5. Authentication & Collector Confidence
Each high-value item is supplied with either:
* An official authentication certificate, or
* Photographic proof of the signing
Items are sold as collector pieces, not investment guarantees.
Buyers are encouraged to inspect items upon delivery and report any discrepancies within 14 days.
6. Returns & Cancellations for High-Value Items
Returns are accepted according to our standard Returns & Refund Policy, with the following considerations for high-value items:
The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs, unless the item is faulty or incorrectly supplied.
Returns must be in the original packaging.
For damaged or faulty items, Signed Stuff UK may request professional verification before issuing a refund.
Personalised or customised high-value items may have limited return eligibility.
7. International Shipping (Future Expansion)
Currently, all high-value items are shipped within the UK.
If international shipping is offered in the future, additional insurance and customs requirements will apply, which will be communicated prior to purchase.
8. Customer Responsibilities
Collectors are responsible for:
* Providing a secure delivery address
* Signing for deliveries
* Inspecting the item immediately upon arrival
* Contacting Signed Stuff UK promptly for any issues
9. Disclaimer
While Signed Stuff UK ensures secure packaging, shipping, and authentication, we cannot guarantee resale value, market fluctuations, or collector interpretation.
Liability is limited to the original purchase price of the item.
